The photographer Richard Sharum turns his lens toward places where the American Dream begins to flicker. Beyond clichés, his quiet black-and-white photographs reveal lives and realities that rarely receive attention–individual stories marked by vulnerability, resilience, and dignity. Calm yet deeply affecting, his visual language creates intimacy without idealizing or exposing, approaching his subjects with respect and sensitivity. Sharum’s America trilogy comprises three photographic series that bring different facets of everyday life into focus.
